The Axis TG8646 blade creates the first multi-channel migration path to IP video that leverages a building’s existing coaxial infrastructure to connect to new IP cameras. The six-channel blade was designed to fit inside Axis’ existing rack chassis so that customers can mix and match the PoE+ over Coax channels with existing Axis video encoder blades. This solution is perfect for large existing analog installations where re-cabling an entire facility with network cable would be costly, as well as for organizations like hospitals, airports and prisons where they cannot afford any type of business disruption, especially one that causes a safety hazard.
